Dallas Fort Worth International Airport welcomes airberlin on board - Four new weekly flights as of summer 2016

From Dallas Fort Worth to the Dusseldorf long-haul hub

DUSSELDORF, Germany, Nov. 11, 2015 -- airberlin, Germany's second largest airline and member of oneworld©, is expanding its route network to the United States, adding Dallas Fort Worth to its network in May 2016. airberlin will fly four times from Dallas Fort Worth to Dusseldorf, the airline's main long-haul hub.

The Dusseldorf – Dallas Fort Worth route will commence operation as of May 6th, and will feature four flights per week, on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.

The new route will be promoted with a special offer starting from November 13th until and including November 23rd. Within this booking period, tickets are available starting from $1099 for a roundtrip to Dusseldorf including all taxes. As airberlin is a network carrier with an extensive route network in Europe and to Abu Dhabi, special fares for various beyond destinations such as Berlin, Munich, Copenhagen, Milan, or Vienna are also available and accessible with only one stop and convenient connection times – bookable through airberlin.com, the airline's service center (Tel: 866 266 5588, toll free) and travel agencies. Fares of the Special Offer are available at selected dates.

In total, the German airline airberlin will introduce 15 additional weekly flights from next summer to and from the US, taking the total of flights departing Dusseldorf and Berlin for eight destinations in the United States each week to 58 including new service to Boston and San Francisco. This winter will already feature a comfort campaign in Economy Class following airberlin's upgrade of the Business Class to include FullFlat Seats: the entire long-haul fleet is currently being fitted with 40 additional XL Seats to provide 6 inches more legroom. XL Seats can be booked online, through travel agencies or directly at the ticket desk. FlyFlex passengers receive an XL Seat at no additional charge.
