DFW Airport Announces CFO Vernon Evans To Take Top Financial Post At San Diego Regional Airport Authority

DFW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Texas (February 17, 2003) – The Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport Board announced the resignation of Vernon Evans, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, after 17 years of dedicated service. Mr. Evans leaves DFW to join the newly established San Diego County Regional Airport Authority as the Vice President /Treasurer and Chief Financial Officer.

"Vernon has given our Airport great service for nearly two decades and we will sincerely miss him," says Jeff Fegan, CEO at DFW. "DFW is a high performance organization that is recognized within the industry, so we're not surprised when other airports look to our ranks for leadership."

Mr. Evans began his career at DFW in 1986 as Director of Internal Audit, where he strengthened controls and implemented new accounting processes which restored integrity to the overall operations of the Airport.

In addition, in 1989, Evans founded the Association of Airport Internal Auditors where he led the organization as its president for two years. The Association of Airport Auditors has grown to a membership, which includes 46 airports across the U.S. The American Institute of Certified Public Accountants also inducted Evans into the 2002 Business and Industry Hall of Fame.

"It's been an honor to serve DFW and help take this Airport to the next level," says Mr. Evans. "The aviation industry is a dynamic, everchanging environment and I'm truly looking forward to the new challenge.”

In his role as Executive Vice President and CFO, Mr. Evans led the organization through significant growth and directed the financing of major airport expansion projects toward their successful completion.
