DFW International Airport Continues Normal Operations Under Level Orange Mandates As Action Begins In Iraq

DFW INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT, Texas (March 28, 2003) – DFW International Airport continues normal operations since measures began March 18; no problems or issues have been reported. DFW will closely monitor the situation and will keep you informed of any changes at the Airport.

DFW Airport Parking remains open except for the upper-level, one-hour spaces. DFW encourages you to continue parking at your regular parking venue.

Vehicles arriving at DFW’s entry plazas may be briefly stopped for visual inspection and random search. In addition, DFW has increased surveillance and security near the terminal area to ensure travelers’ safety. These new security measures will be in place while the U.S. Homeland security level is categorized as “orange.” Slight delays may occur during this time, so please plan to arrive at the Airport early for your flight.

Founder’s Plaza is closed under the “orange” security level.

Passengers are urged to report any suspicious activity to the nearest DPS officer, or call 911. The eyes and ears of our travelers are very valuable assets to the Airport 's security efforts.

Meanwhile DFW will continue to make your travels safe, keep security high and your travel hassles low.

All of us at DFW hope for a quick resolution to the conflict and are mindful of the safety of our men and women in uniform.

Located halfway between the cities of Dallas and Fort Worth, Texas, DFW International Airport is the world's third busiest, offering nearly 2,000 flights per day and serving 55 million passengers a year.
