DFW International Airport Looking to Return To Normal Flight Operations After Ice Storm

Airport runways clear and travelers moving

DFW International Airport (January 15, 2007) - DFW International Airport remains open with weather conditions improving following the first ice storm of 2007. The Airport has seen a total of 166 departures cancelled today out of the approximately 950 scheduled. DFW expects flight operations to return to normal by 6:00 p.m. tonight.

Delays remain minimal due to the diligence of Airport and airline personnel.

The Airport has been under a Weather Emergency status since Saturday morning, but the Weather Emergency will be cancelled as of 2:00 p.m. this afternoon.

Roads leading in and out of the Airport remain clear, but drivers are urged to use caution on the bridges and overpasses in and around the Airport.

Passengers are advised that the weather could change, and travelers are urged to continue to check with their airline or go to the Flight Information page at www.dfwairport.com for updated information on arrivals and departures.
