DFW Media Statement - 7:15 PM Update pm AA Outage

As of 3:30 pm CST today, American Airlines network system has been fully restored. Full flight operations have resumed at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, but continued delays flight delays are expected throughout the night.

So far this evening, approximately 262 departures have been cancelled by American Airlines at DFW Airport, which represents about 14% of the Airport’s total daily schedule.

DFW Airport has activated its Irregular Operations Concessions Plan. All Concessions locations in Terminals A, B, C and D will remain open until at least midnight or until the last flights leave their immediate area. Some security checkpoints will also remain open past normal hours.

DFW’s Terminal Management and Customer Service teams are prepared to assist passengers who choose to stay in the terminals tonight because of altered flight plans. DFW expects to hand out cots, blankets and toiletry kits to those requesting.

DFW Airport is advising passengers to check their flight status prior to traveling to the Airport. Passengers can check on their flight status on the web at www.dfwairport.com, or by using DFW Airport’s Official Mobile App.
