Spring Break Underway at DFW Airport With Deals and Treats for Over 1.1 Million Expected Passengers
Express Park and Receive a $15 Shop-And-Eat Voucher
Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) International Airport expects over 1.1 million passengers during the 2014 spring break travel season, which runs from March 7 through 24. This year, customers who park in DFW’s Express North or Express South Parking from March 7-11 will receive a $15 shop-and-eat voucher, good for use at any restaurant or retail outlet inside the Airport.
DFW’s Express Parking offers customers a quick shuttle ride to the terminals, complimentary luggage assistance, free bottled water and newspapers, and up-to-date flight information. Express Parking costs $11 per day, or $13 per day for covered parking, and can be conveniently paid via TollTag as well as cash or credit card. DFW has over 8,000 Express parking spaces located within Airport grounds.
“We’re giving back to our Express Parking customers this spring break with a $15 shop-and-eat voucher valid towards any restaurant or shop in our five terminals,” said Ken Buchanan, executive vice president of revenue management at DFW Airport. “Customers can use it to enjoy a sit-down lunch with family or friends, pick up your favorite reading materials, or towards those perfect sunglasses you’ve been eyeing for your trip to the beach.”
In addition, the “Eat Healthy at DFW” campaign will also be in full swing during the 2014 spring break travel season, with every DFW concessions outlet offering at least one low-calorie, low-fat, low-sodium, cholesterol-free, plant-based, or high-in-fiber entree or menu item.
Highlighting the new concessions options available this year is the American Express Centurion Lounge in Terminal D, as well as many new restaurants and shops in the newly renovated section of Terminal A between Gates A8 and A16. In addition, the new Gas Monkey Bar N’ Grill, themed after the popular television show Fast N’ Loud on the Discovery Channel, opened this week at Terminal D Gate 31.
Travelers will also have more creature comforts awaiting them at DFW including Thanks Again, the customer rewards program that allows DFW customers to earn airline mileage rewards for purchases at the Airport. The Official DFW Mobile App gives customers the latest information and updates about flights, parking, shops, restaurants and airport services at their fingertips. It is available as a free download for mobile devices on the Apple iOS, BlackBerry and Android platforms.
These new programs, combined with DFW’s consistent ranking as one of the best airports in the world for customer service and amenities such as free Wi-Fi, promise to make a trip through Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport an enjoyable travel experience this spring break.
